Chinese Zodiac

The Rooster

The rooster is tenth on the Chinese Zodiac. Some of the rooster's characteristics are acute, neat, meticulous, organized, self-assured, decisive, conservative, critical, perfectionist, alert, zealous (which means having or showing zeal, which means having eager desire for), practical, scientific, and responsible. The rooster can also be zealous and critical, puritanical (which means practicing or affecting strict religious or moral behavior), egotistical, abrasive (which means tending to annoy or cause ill will or overly aggressive), proud, and opinionated.

Even though you may be born in the year of the rooster, you may not have these characteristics. These characteristics are based on the rooster. In the story of the great race, the rooster got the raft that the sheep and monkey took with it, and they helped each other out through out the race.

Here are some of the years of the rooster:  If you are born in any of these years, you are a rooster.
